Only the brave were eating ice-creams in Skegness on what should have been the first day of blazing June.
Families wrapped in their thick winter coats and woollies battled through strong winds and sheltered from lashing rain storms along the foreshore, with just a handful venturing on the beach.
The best trade was done on the warm doughnuts hot chocolate booths, with holidaymakers still determined to have good time.
It’s been a disappointing half-term week weather-wise but the forecast is not set to improve until Sunday, when sunshine returns.
Temperatures are set to start climbing again through next week.
