Knight fever at Sa leaford primary school
The event was held as part of learning this term on the topic of Castles and Knights.
It saw 120 Year One children and staff dress up like people who might have lived in a castle – kings, queens, princes, princesses, knights, jesters, musicians, servants, and slaves.

Hide AdA sword-fighting workshop formed part of the celebrations along with some Medieval dancing.
It also featured Year Six children serving oat biscuits and mead (squash) to the Year One youngsters.
Year One class teacher Jacque Brewell said: “Children learn in different ways. We like to provide them with lots of different opportunities and experiences.”
Other activities which have formed part of the learning included making shields, writing poems, training dragons, and a visit to Lincoln Castle.
