Gainsborough: Musical society are all set to go thoroughly modern with Millie
The story centres on Millie Dillmount and Dorothy Brown who are just two of the girls living at the Priscilla Hotel for Single Young Ladies .
Dorothy is a naive, old-fashioned girl from a seemingly privileged background who dreams of being an actress.

Hide AdMillie , meantime, used to be old fashioned, but now has modern thinking , a modern look, and wants to be a stenographer with a quick ‘promotion’ to becoming her boss’ better half.
She believes she’s found the right employer in the form of chisel-jawed Trevor Graydon of the Sincere Trust Insurance Company.
Millie’s pursuit of Mr Graydon is despite the fact that Mr Graydon sees her as one of the boys.
Love is not in the equation for Millie, despite the interest of happy-go-lucky Jimmy.

Hide AdBut then she meets the wealthy Muzzy Van Hossmere, who tries to convince her that only true love will lead to happiness.
Meanwhile, Dorothy leaves New York without a word to anyone except Mrs Meers. Thinking this situation rather odd, Millie and Jimmy try to find out what has happend to Dorothy.
The show runs from 28th April to 2nd May at 7.30pm each night, plus a Saturday matinee at 2pm.
