Hosted by the town’s Arts and Heritage Centre, the launch of Caistor Cycling Club has been made possible through Lincolnshire County Council’s Healthy Hubs grant scheme.

There will be weekly rides from the centre, as well as the chance to learn about bike maintenance. Meetings will be held on Monday evenings from 7.30pm.

“We have a very successful running club in Caistor but nothing for cyclists,” said centre manager Steph Dale.

“We saw an opportunity and are pleased to welcome experienced cyclist Colin Rich to come on board as a volunteer and set up the club. We are keen to promote health and wellbeing so the club will be looking at nutrition and offering indoor roller cycling.”

The club will be launched at the first session tonight (Monday March 13) and Ms Dale added: “Members will decide how they want the club to run so we hope people will come along on and see what is on offer.”
